“We missed you too, babe.” Cat grinned and then raised an eyebrow. “Got me something? You didn’t have to.” She held Katniss and ran a hand through the little girl’s hair, watching as Zayn grabbed a box. She gave him the baby and eyed the box with a small smile. “Should I be scared? Like…at all?” With a small laugh, she sat down next to him and unwrapped the box, taking out all the gifts. She gasped a little and looked over at him. “Zayn, you-” She stopped and felt her cheeks heat up as she slipped on the jacket and locket. Her eyes looked into the box again, pulling out the Mrs. Claus dress with a laugh. “You would.” Setting the outfit in her lap, she found two tickets at the bottom, her eyes widening. “Oh my gosh.” She took out the tickets, then looked over to Zayn with a grin. “You’ve really outdone yourself this time.”
Cat laughed and nodded. “It was pretty scary because yes, you were good.” She said and shook her head slightly. “So don’t ever do it again. Or I will hit you.” She glared playfully at him, meeting him halfway and pressing their lips together. She smiled as she was pulled on top of him, careful not to put all her weight on him. “I’m great, how are you dear?”
“No, no. I will not hush. Sorry, not sorry.” Cat stuck her tongue out at him, then laughed and shook her head. “Why in the world would I hit you?” She gave him an odd look before he jumped on her. “Well hi there.” She said with a grin, ruffling his hair.
Cat smiled victoriously when Zayn gave up. “I win!” She giggled, turning around. “Don’t hide.” She whined then flopped down on the bed, laying on her back and staring up at the ceiling. “Come love meee.” She drawled out and opened her arms, looking at him and pouting.
Cat let out a small laugh and shook her head, letting out a huff before deciding to play along. “How about Candyland? Maybe Chutes And Ladders?” She bit her lip and laughed again. “I’ve got both.” She shrugged her shoulders. “Nah, I’m kidding. Sure, I’ll play a game.”
Cat let out a small gasp and jumped a little bit as Zayn covered her eyes. She pursed her lips and laughed a bit. “Turn the lights back on. I’m blind enough as it is.” She joked and shook her head, crossing her arms. “Either this is Zayn or some creepy serial killer. Which one?”
She smiled and then walked out of Katniss’ room, closing the door behind her before walking back into their room. She ran and jumped onto the bed with an ‘oof’, setting her homework onto her nightstand. “I’m back!” She grinned.
“Thank you, babe.” She grins and leans down, kissing his cheek softly. She smiles at him and nods. “I’ll do it. No worries. Be right back.” She scoops the little girl up in her arms and walks to her room, setting her down in her crib and placing the blanket over her. “Goodnight, babygirl.” Cat smiles and kisses her head, gently beginning to sing A La Nanita Nana.
“Are not.” She glares back. “Ugh, stop arguing, Zayn.” She says with a small pout, kissing Katniss’ head as her eyes slowly close. “I think she’s tired.” She sighs then smiles at Zayn. “Happy tears? Hm. That’s good then.” She looks down at Katniss. “I think my little angel is sleepy. I’ll go put her down, it’s almost nine thirty anyways.”
“I’m not lying though, Zayn!” She laughs and shakes her head, sticking her tongue out at him. “Stop what?” She asks and tilts her head with a fake innocent smile. She eyes him and moves closer, kissing his cheek. “Alrighty, I just saw tears in your eyes.” Cat shrugs.
